New Wood:

1. Plywood - (for destiny wood) 5/8” thick, plywood on all parts, even the back. This door features a standard and easy-to-clean wood grain melamine interior surface.

2. Bamboo - new wood species in an elegant slab door style. Available in finishes: amber, chocolate, natural.

New Door Styles:

1. Kiawah - (for destiny classic) This door features Louvered construction, solid center panel, and slaw drawer with horizontal grain.  Available in all glazes. Available in Maple and Cherry in all finishes except Golden, Honey, and Sand.

2. Boulder- for destiny wood. The Boulder features an intricate, pronounced, applied molding for a high-end custom look. Great for glazing and other specialty finishes. The Boulder is available in oak, rustic alder, maple, rustic cherry, cherry, and red birch. All paint and stain finishes are available (except honey, sand, and golden). It is also available in all current glaze/species combinations.

New Door Paints:

1. Vintage - Innovative vintage process (for destiny wood. A blend of light glazing, rasping, rub off and worm holes which create a look perfect for rustic, cottage, Mediterranean, and villa styles.

2. Linen - for destiny wood. The wood is painted, then lightly hand-brushed with classic glaze creating a comfortable, casual feel.

In renovating your kitchen and bathroom, tile selection is a big decision to make. At NYKB we used Porcelanosa tiles to provide our clients with a variety of style and color selection.

For example, in this bathroom design, we are demonstrating the Imagine Vanity and 8” x 13” Mosaic-look Lignum Scuro tile. The Imagine vanity series’ gentle forms merge in a compact and organic design. This design features wood and tempered glass vanity, countertop with integrated sink and towel rail, large drawer for extra storage, high quality & extremely durable hinges – standard with soft closing drawers.

In this design we feature Porcelanosa’s Venezia wall tile. It mimics the look of silk wallpaper. The large format rectified tile is also available in Venezia, which has a blue-gray sheen. We are also featuring the Woodtec Porcelain Hardwood, on the wall and floor. It is as beautiful as hardwood, but as convenient as porcelain. It’s vast array of colors and sizes make it ideal for any décor, whether installed inside or outside, wall or floor, and even wet or dry applications. Woodtec Porcelain Hardwood is a wonderful candidate for radiant floor heating as it requires little to no maintenance, and will last a lifetime.

Lastly, in this design example we feature a natural stone on the fireplace, called Strip Habana Brown Modul. The back wall features the ultra high gloss Crystal Black tile. Roble Residence Macizo Natural Hardwood finishes the floor.

This announcement is largely in recognition of Mr. Brown’s valuable contributions as an NYKB Field/Customer Manager. Mr. Brown, 47, who joined NYKB in 2007, will continue to report to Perry Hiiman, the firm’s President. As Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Brown will be given additional supervisory responsibilities to oversee all NYKB projects.

According to Mr. Hiiman, “Dwight is NYKB’s ‘top customer service guy.’ His reliability and customer service skills have helped NYKB incalculably, and with a greater role he will do bigger things.” After having served for 6 years as a United States Marine, he continued to advance his career working for the College Board as Director of Administrative Services. With many years of experience in the corporate sector working with executives on many levels and serving clients with diverse requirements, Mr. Brown applied his varied skills and experiences to the residential arena.
